SICIM has been awarded the full construction of the WARDENBURG-DROHNE (WAD) – Lot 2 pipeline in Lower Saxony. The project includes the installation of 30 km of 40-inch pipeline, located southwest of Bremen.
Our team will manage every stage of the project, from site preparation to final land restoration, with a strong focus on minimizing environmental impact.
The route crosses the typical wetland areas of northwestern Germany, posing engineering challenges that will require careful groundwater management and trench stabilization.
The activities, commissioned by OGE - the Germany’s largest gas transmission system operator , will be performed in joint venture with the Belgian company Denys NV.
Once completed, the pipeline will transport regasified LNG, delivered to the Wilhelmshaven terminal, into the German infrastructure transmission system. The pipeline, fully hydrogen-ready, will contribute to Europe’s long-term shift toward low-emission energy infrastructure.
