Silvia Migliorati recognized as Industry Ambassador at the 2026 WIP Awards

Silvia Migliorati, SICIM’s Environmental & Sustainability Manager, has received the 2026 WIP Award in the Industry Ambassador category.

The Women In Pipe (WIP) Awards are an international recognition program celebrating companies and professionals who actively contribute to advancing the role of women within the pipeline and energy industries.

In a traditionally male-dominated field, this award is an important acknowledgement of the value of representation and inclusion. During the award ceremony, Silvia shared her perspective on the impact that visible role models and real-life examples can have on future generations:

I believe that increasing visibility, showcasing inspiring career paths, and supporting female talent are essential today, because from an early age, stereotypes and often invisible biases influence what girls perceive as possible for themselves. Representation matters: if you can see it, you can believe it. This is why I chose to apply as an Industry Ambassador: to help reshape perceptions of our sector, especially among younger generations. We need to create opportunities for talent regardless of gender. When inclusion is embraced, everyone benefits”.

At SICIM, we firmly believe that talent, skills, and merit should be recognized and valued beyond any label. This is why we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where people can express their full potential and contribute to the company's growth.

We are grateful to have team members who, through their everyday work, help reduce the so-called Dream Gap”— the distance between girls’ aspirations and their real opportunities to achieve them — and who contribute to promoting a corporate culture that is increasingly open, inclusive, and sustainability-oriented.

Thank you, Silvia. We are proud to have you on the SICIM team.
