SICIM announces the award of the “Brewster Pipeline Project” for TC Energy in Canada, through its affiliated Steel River SICIM Pipeline Ltd (SRSP), a company established in association with the Alberta based Steel River Group.
The Brewster Pipeline Project is part of the 2021 NGTL System Expansion Project to be constructed beginning in northwest Alberta and run along the west path of the NGTL System, from the northwest of Alberta southeast towards Rocky Mountain House.
The awarded section runs in Clearwater County, approximately 35 km northwest of Rocky Mountain House (Alberta) and consits of 49 km of 48-inch (1219.2 mm) diameter pipeline, to be welded deploying the in-house mechanized welding system Fastweld.
Construction works include the trenchless crossing of the North Saskatchewan River, an area of great environmental value, and pipelaying through the typical ‘muskeg’ wetland.
