IPLOCA Health and Safety Award 2023: Our “Bending Machine Safe Hook Support” has been rewarded as a model of accident prevention.
Commitment, perseverance and dedication are the ingredients behind the success of SICIM, winner of the HS Award 2023 at the IPLOCA Annual Convention held in Vancouver. We are proud to have received this Award, an important international recognition for innovations aimed at improving worker safety conditions and sponsored by TC Energy.
SICIM monitored high potential accidents and near misses linked to these activities for a long time, and now provides the bending machine operator with a new pipe hooking system which reduces the risk of working at height. The operator is therefore able to manage the bending activity without abandoning his safe designed position.
