The 57th Annual IPLOCA Convention has come to a close — our industry’s key gathering. This year it took place in Izmir, the third largest city in Turkey after Istanbul and Ankara.
From this wonderful cultural hub on the Aegean coast — known in ancient times as Smyrna — we return home with fresh insights, new business connections, and great satisfaction: SICIM was awarded Runner Up in the Quality and Corporate Social Responsibility categories.
The Quality Award – accepted by our General Manager, Leonardo Gravina, and sponsored by SOCAR – acknowledged our commitment to improving accessibility of project documentation and identification of technical requirements, recognized as one of the most effective mitigations for reducing non-conformities and enhancing quality performance through the implementation process.
The CSR Award – accepted by our Managing Director, Guido Cagnani, and sponsored by TotalEnergies – honored our initiative “Work Globally, Live Locally”, which achieved second place in the IPLOCA Corporate Social Responsibility Award!
The recognition highlights SICIM’s commitment to promoting the principles of the UN Global Compact through training across all the countries where we operate, self-assessment on priority SDGs, broad engagement via the UNGC Academy, and the extension of sustainability values across the supply chain with the Supplier Code of Conduct.
We are proud of these recognitions and grateful to be part of an association that brings together more than 200 leading players in the energy and pipeline construction sectors, both onshore and offshore, across over 40 countries worldwide.
