SICIM is very glad to announce that has received two awards during the 2021 IPLOCA Annual General Meeting in Athens. IPLOCA is the International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association, representing the pipeline construction industry worldwide.
SICIM has won the 2021 IPLOCA Safety Award, sponsored by TC Energy, for the Safe Choker Belt. Choker belt is a very specific lifting device extensively used in the pipeline industry and SICIM presented a simple and effective improvement in its design to reduce incident risks during choker belt use. We can really say that we used our brain to save our hands!
SICIM has also been named as Runner-up in the 2021 IPLOCA New Technologies Award, sponsored by BP, for the Airborne and Self-assembly Excavator. It's a fully helicopter transportable and self assembling excavator to make it possible to work where it is impossible to go!
