SICIM has been awarded in all the three 2020 IPLOCA Awards, during the Annual General Meeting in Geneva.
IPLOCA is the International Pipe Line & Offshore Contractors Association, representing the pipeline construction industry worldwide.

SICIM has been named as Runner-up in the 2020 IPLOCA Health and Safety Award, sponsored by Chevron, for our Flying Washing Basket.
Despite regular cleaning equipment is an underappreciated chore, it is of primary importance to grant equipment a longer lifetime; on the other hand, it is a source of multiple hazards.
That is why SICIM developed and started to use the Flying Washing Basket to guarantee safe washing operations of all heavy construction machines.
The Flying Washing Basket allows the operator to reach easily every part of each type of machines used in Oil&Gas industry performing a 360° flight all around it. Safe, sound and brilliant!

Then SICIM has been named as Runner-up in the 2020 IPLOCA Environmental Award, sponsored by Shell, for our Oil & Lubricants Saving Distribution System.
This interesting solution allows us to know exactly oil and lubricant quantities used during equipment maintenance.
It ensures optimization of oil & lubricants use and clean workstations reducing leaks and spillages during refueling and repairs.
With an additional positive impact on reduced manual handling this is another step of SICIM in his path toward eco-friendly pipeline construction.

Finally SICIM has been named as Runner-up in the 2020 IPLOCA Excellence in Project Execution Award, for our Sur de Texas Project (Mexico).
It has been a very challenging project for many reasons: logistics (limitations of access to the site due to morphological and regulatory factors), technology (unconventional pipe laying, extensive use of trenchless technique, welding of heavy wall pipes, handling of pipe string and onshore/offshore interface) and environment (preservation, conservation and restoration of coastalwetlands, lagoons, sensitive areas, mangrove ecosystem, seaside and associate complex of constraints).
