With the Verdi Festival, a Journey Through Culture and Distant Worlds

The Verdi Festival returns for its 26th edition, and once again, SICIM is proud to support it.
From October 1st to 25th across Parma, Busseto, and the Verdi Lands, an international event will unfold where this year's guiding thread is MondiLontani ("Distant Worlds").

A theme to remind us how nineteenth-century European culture was fascinated by distant and exotic worlds.

Just think of Aida, set in ancient Egypt; Nabucco and the lands of Babylon; or Alzira, set in Peru, which, as the Teatro Regio of Parma recalls, "in Verdi's music become opportunities to tell universal stories of passion, conflict, encounters between peoples and human experiences that still resonate today."

Supporting culture means fostering reflections that continue to emerge and challenge us in today's society.

This, too, is part of the Maestro's legacy.
