ISO 50001 certification, a concrete step

With the recently obtained ISO 50001 certification, we’ve taken a concrete step toward improving our energy efficiency, reducing energy consumption and minimizing the environmental impact of our operations at the Busseto headquarters.

According to the International Energy Agency’s (AIE) “Energy and AI” report, the energy sector — driven by the increasing use of Artificial Intelligence — is at the heart of one of the most significant technological revolutions of our time.

In 2024, data centers consumed 415 TWh, about 1.5% of global electricity consumption. The IEA estimates that this consumption could rise to around 945 terawatt-hours by 2030 and could reach 1,200 TWh by 2035.

Faced with these scenarios, everyone must do their part. We have set ourselves goals that include sustainable solutions and industrial models for future generations:

  • Progressively reduce energy consumption per unit of product/service;
  • Invest in technologies and processes that are more energy-efficient;
  • Implement increasingly advanced energy monitoring and management systems;
  • Involve suppliers and partners in promoting sustainable practices.

This certification is a commitment to improving energy efficiency, maintaining strong focus on consumption, promoting energy awareness among employees and stakeholders, and supporting the use of renewable energy sources and the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions.

Change starts with us.
